Oh Christmas Tree....
This past Saturday (Dec. 5), the four of us went to a Christmas Tree farm and cut down our Christmas tree. We really enjoy walking around looking at all of the trees until we (and by this I mean me, Christa), find the perfect one! Nicholas kept on saying "Will you just pick one already", so funny! At the farm we went to, a wagon ride takes you to the different tree lots. The kids enjoyed the wagon ride much more than picking out the tree ha ha ha We spent most of the evening decorating the tree, lots of fun!
Happy 5th Birthday Nicholas!
The last photo taken of Nicholas as a five year old, right before bed Nov.27.
Nicholas is 5 years old, wow! Nicholas too had a great birthday. A couple days before his actual birthday he had a party with his friends at Kidtastic, an indoor play place. It was tons of fun! They had fun running around like wild animals, and then eating pizza and cupcakes. Nicholas' friends spoiled him with some great gifts, so did his family!
Happy 7th Birthday Makayla!
This is the last photo taken of Makayla as a 6 year old, right before she went to bed Nov. 10.
It is official, Makayla is 7 years old! Can you believe it? I can't! She had a great birthday, received a lot of really nice gifts from family and friends. Makayla's party with her friends was an ice skating party this year, it was a great time! All the kids had a ton of fun skating and then coming back in the room for hot chocolate, lots of snacks and a ornament craft.

Hockey Star Nicholas!!
Nicholas recently finished his first session of Mini-Mac, a learn-to-skate program where the kids learn to skate in full hockey gear. Hence, we tell him he is going to 'hockey'. He seemed to have a great time and has really improved since the beginning. Plus he looks too cute in his hockey gear! His last day was this past Monday and the kids all received certificates and medals, of which he is very proud ( and we are sooo proud of him). And something extra special happened when we came out of the dressing room to go home..... Walter Gretzky was waiting to give the kids autographs and take photos with them!! In Brantford, Walter Gretzky is even more famous than his son. He is very involved with the community and really does a lot of good. Supposedly he goes to the ending of all the kids programs to give out autographs and take photos with the kids. It was very cool!
